2024-02-27
Paul Thompson, Research Fellow at NaCTeM, will give an invited talk on 20th March, 2024 at the Annual meeting of the Danish Society of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. The talk will describe work carried out in the EPHOR project to develop an annotated corpus and associated Named Entity Recognition (NER) tools to detect concept mentions relating to occupational substance exposures in scientific literature. The purpose of the NER tools is to increase the efficiency of locating literature evidence to support the development and update of Job Exposure Matrices (JEMs), which constitute an important resource for carrying out occupational exposure assessment in epidemiological studies
