NaCTeM Presents at the NCeSS Showcase

NaCTeM were invited to give a presentation for the National Centre for E-Social
Science as part of a showcase of future trends and recent developments that can
assist social scientists in their research. Brian Rea gave a presentation on
Text Mining in Social Science Research including a case study of the ASSERT
Project looking at assistive technologies for systematic reviews in policy development and evidence based decision making.
The showcase which took place over three days was designed to be of benefit to
those working in Social Science and others involved in Grid Computing, by
updating them with recent developments which can improve research methods and
research times, as well as informing them of trends and software which will
impact on them in the future. More information about the showcase is available
