Invited talk at Text and Data Mining event in Paris

John McNaught, deputy director of NaCTeM, gave a talk entitled Connaissances nouvelles à partir de connaissances connues: réussites, opportunités, défis en fouille de textes au soutien de la recherche (New knowledge from old: achievements, opportunities and challenges in text mining to support the research community) at the Journée d’étude sur le TDM : Fouille de texte et de données dans le contexte de la loi pour une République numérique (Information Day on Text and Data Mining in the Context of the Law for a Digital Republic), held in Paris on 13th December 2016.
The event was organised for the launch of a major report on a comparative study into the impact of text and data mining on competitivity of research in France and the UK. The report was commissioned by the ADBU, which is the French equivalent of Research Libraries UK (RLUK) .
