Attendance at Plenary Meeeting and Working Group on "Licences for Europe"

John McNaught, deputy director of NaCTeM, has been invited attend the "Licences for Europe" plenary meeting in Brussels on 4th February 2013. During the meeting, 3 EU commisioners (Commissioners Barnier, Kroes, and Vassiliou) will give speeches.
The meeting will launch a set of working groups, focussing on licensing issues in different areas of research. NaCTeM will participate in the working group on "Text and data mining for scientific research purposes", and John McNaught will attend the first meeting of this working group, also to be held on 4th February in Brussels.
