XHPSG: Underspecified Syntax (2/4)

Method
- A verb in XHPSG can have 24 different lexical entries at maximum.
  - Each verb has some of those 24 lexical entries. parsing failure
  - Each entry is transformed by lexical rules or further instantiation of feature structures.
- We replaced the 24 lexical entries with 4 “lexical entry templates” that have weaker constraints than each of the 24 lexical entries.
