• A PP with one “wa” tends to be a non-head of the last verb/adjective as many researchers have pointed out

Kare wa aruku no wo mita

he -TOP walk thing -ACC saw

(He saw that someone walked)

Kare wa aruku no wo mita

he -TOP walk thing -ACC saw

(Someone saw that he walked)
