2015-06-10
Prof. Sophia Ananiadou and the rest of the team working on the Mining the History of Medicine project (a collaboration between NaCTeM and the University of Manchester's Centre for the History of Science, Technology and Medicine (CHSTM)) will be presenting the results of the project at a workshop hosted by the Wellcome Trust, London on Monday 15th June, 2015. The workshop will be attended by a group of leading medical historians.
The workshop will include a hands-on session involving one of the major outcomes of the project, the History of Medicine (HOM) semantic search system, which provides advanced, text mining enabled functionality for searching and exploring the contents of two historical medical archives, dating back to the mid 19th century.
